Game Three In Rochester

Well this seems awfully well known, doesn’t it? Marlies roll into Rochester, up 2-0 in the series looking to close out solid. The team has seen great performances from their netminder and a bearded man wearing #29 on his sweater while being reinforced by great numbers at Ricoh Coliseum. Yes, this does seem mighty familiar.

Ahead of game three, here are six factors to help get your head in the game:

With two points in game two (1g, 1a), Jerry D’Amigo became the Marlies all-time playoff score leader with 17
Drew MacIntyre’s game two shutout was his first since joining Toronto
The Toronto Marlies are the only Western Conference team leading their opponent 2-0 after two games, while all four Eastern Conference sequence are currently at 2-0
The Marlies have won 21 of their last 25 games against the Americans and are 21-4-0-2 in their last 27 trips to Blue Cross Arena
Rochester started David Leggio in game one but went with Matt Hackett in game two, so it’s a toss-up as to who’ll be in net Wednesday evening
Tune into all the action beginning at 7pm on AHL Live as Jon Abbott and Bob McGill bring you the call from Rochester

As you’ve come to learn by now, it’s pretty conventional operating procedure that I’ll drop lineup news and notes a little closer to game time. Read more in details at our blog Red Wings Rochester.
